Hello,

I have noticed a couple of times my system starts responding slowly. When I check, ClipDiary is using very high around 96% CPU. Is this a known issue? I will try to get more information the next time it happens.

Thank you.

Hi,

I came across this problem sometimes, Clipdiary conflicted with some programs that work with Clipboard (i.e. Arum Switcher Arum http://www.sprigsoft.com/en/arum/index.shtml). Do you use software like Clipdiary or Clipmate?

I used to use Clipmate, but now I use your ClipDiary because it is more easy to use. If I have the problem with the high CPU usage again, I will research to find out which program is causing the conflict and I will let you know. Thanks for a great product.

I am also having an issue with Clipdiary and CPU utilization. It seems to happen randomly when I have Outlook 2003 open. A restart of clipdiary seems to resolve it for a short time.

My Outlook 2003 is unresponsive and ClipDiary consumes all my CPU. If I close and restart clipdiary the problem goes away. Happens about 3 times a day.

Any ideas?

Hi, I have am experiencing just about the same behavior as qsilver here.

Once clipdiary (ver 1.3) it starts eating up the CPU, it seems the only thing that will stop the behavior is restarting the application. I am also running Outlook 2003... is there a possible interaction? Or maybe there's something going on with the ClipDiary\diary.sql file.

(btw, I have observed similiar behavior from flashpaste from time to time.)

Overall I think clipdiary is a great product, and I wouldn't hesitate to call it excellent except for this bug... Thanks for the good work!

I just noticed Clipdiary using almost all of my CPU (96%) for the first time (after using it for months) and came to the forum seeking information. I found this thread and would like to add this bit of information.

I have set a limit of 1024 entries, yet right now there are 1453 entries in the database.

As far as other Options go - I set the location of the database in my Temp directory to C:\Temp\ClipDiary\diary.sql -- and I have checked save items in database between work sessions.

I run a MySQL service on my Windows XP (SP1) machine (as part of a Windows Apache/MySQL/Php development environment).

Hope this helps - and thanks a ton for providing this free application. I could not live without a good clip board manager.

P.S. And since closing and reopening Clip Diary I just noticed that all of my desktop icons blink off and on again whenever I copy (Ctrl-V something). ?? I'm going to empty the database and see if this stops. ....... ...... Indeed, after emptying the database, my desktop icons have stopped blinking when I Ctrl-V something.

With this behavior I'm guessing that Clipdiary has exceeded some boundaries by not adhering to the 1024 item limit properly.
