I have a problem with Flashpaste: in some cases text isn't pasted after I press Enter and the String Selection dialog is closed. Increasing the delay up to 200 seems to help a little but the problem still appears sometimes. I try the program (Flashpaste Pro trial) to paste text into Outlook Express. I use WinXP SP2.

What could cause such problem?

Hello Michael

Usually increasing delay up to 200 resolves this problem. But I have noticed that Microsoft Office aplications require longer delay, that any other software. Maybe you would like to increase delay up to 300. I hope this can help.

Do you use any other software that works with clipboard (i.e. clipboard manager or clipboard extension)?

No, only Flashpaste. Does the problem occur because more time is necessary to switch to the previously active application before pasting? Isn't it possible that the program will paste text into incorrect application in such case?

Hello Michael

Flashpaste pastes a string in the window that was active when you pressed the hotkey.
How ofen does this happen? do you see any regularity? Does it work if you try to paste again imediately?

When I test the program and insert multiple strings in the Outlook Express message edit window the issue occurs in about 10% of all pastes. However, I could not determine any regularity.

oh, this problem is hardly to reproduce;(

Try the following: open options dialog and uncheck the "Restore Clipboard content after pasting a Clip" checkbox. Maybe this can help.

What's about pasting via Flashpaste Tray Menu?

I can easily reproduce the problem on my computer. I just open Outlook Experss, click "Create Mail" and try to insert various texts using Flashpaste (just click Ctrl+I, choose test using clipboard and press Enter). In some cases text isn't pasted. Maybe it depends on the system configuration or another software installed but I don't know what could affect Flashpaste.

Unfortunately it doesn't help.

It seems to work correctly.

I have noticed that in version 3.4 compatibility with Outlook Express has been improved. Is it a fix for the problem with pasting text into OE?
