Topic review - [FR] Assign a Hotkey to a String

Hello

Problem is that I don't think that this is really needed functionality for Flashpaste.
There are Hot Key labels for quick select the string for pasting http://flashpaste.com/onlinehelp/html/h ... label.html. They replace a lot of system wide hot keys (individually hot key for each string).

But the simple way of working is still there.
What I'm asking for is another way of inserting text.

I also find it important that a simple user interface is important. But this may not prevent of more features.
Maybe you can implement a Basic and a Advanced interface?

Hello

No, from point of view novice user. There is really big problem for developer to make software with a lot of functions and keep it simple end easy to use...

Also, I think that a lot of people can't strong remember more than 5-7 combinations for strings.

In a technical point of view, I agree.
But it helps to write texts faster!

Hello

I don't think that this is good idea to add such to Flashpaste. It will make Flashpaste too complicated.

Hi,

Wouldn't it be a nice feature to assign a hotkey to a string?
Or something that works as AutoText in Word?

It would allow me to type "PO" and let it result in "Project Officer".
