I'm having a weird problem w/ trying to install Flashpaste on one of my user's machine.
Hi
I had another installation problem. Let me go trought the complete experience, because I like the program..
- Installed FlashPaste. Selected Norwegian interface text (although I'm running an English version of Windows XP). Added some entries and so on ...
After reboot, the FlashPast installation program started ... going trought the installation setup again ... did not find it in the tray, but program did run in background ... invoking it by the hot key ctrl+L (the actual hotkey I use is ctrl+å) did work.
It turned out that there where no entries in the database ... and no Norwegian interface text.
Added some new entries ... then hit Save ... then Reopen database. But still nothing ...
Tried to open the database file manually. The file did not exist - and neither did the %USERPROFILE%/Application Data/Flashpaste folder.
Then added the Flashpaste folder manually -> now database file could was saved fine (I have the following files in that Flashpaste folder now, common.txt, and flashpaste.cfg).
Some criticism:
- I like the simplicity of Flashpaste. But you should be able to assign hot keys to you entries.
- Bad thing abvout the Lite version is that you are unable to make folders and then cannot arrange your.
