One other thing - the local database is in a folder - is it possible to just merge the local database with the common one transparently when dispalyed? Having to open the folder then select the entry is quite cumbersome - particularly when you are trying to work fast.

No, there is no such options. I really don't think that this is good idea. Try to use Hot Key Labels to paste text faster.

Hi,

Yes, I have one string in there.

I just looked at it again, and the local database folder has magically appeared :-) It wasn't there before - do you need to do a 'reload database' for it to show?

Hello

Have you added strings to your local database? Local database folder is not displayed in String Selection dialog box if local database is empty.
In order to add strings into your local database open the configuration (main) window. Select File -> Local Database in main menu and add a few strings. After that you will see this folder in the String Selection dialog box.

Hi,

The help pages seem to imply that 4.31 of FP Pro can display both the common and the local database at the same time

So we have a common (read only) database used by everyone, then each person has their own personal local database (for e-mail signatures, etc).

I have 'use local database' checked, and the position in local folder set to 1, but I cannot see both merged databases when I press my hotkey.

Am I perhaps misunderstanding this feature?

Thanks,
