Oh, MS Office applications is my persistent headache
Try to increase a value of the Compatibility Delay, you can find this parameter in the Options window, look at "Paste Option" page. Try to set it to 150 or even 200. This often helps to resolve such a problem.

I would say it happens close to 50% of the time.
It happens a lot in Office 2007 programs.

How often does this happen?
It seems that problem in focus window. After this happen is target window still active or it did lost focus? Maybe you try to paste text in some specific windows? In what program were you working at this moment?

Occasional Problem
I've noticed that sometimes when I bring up the string selection box and select an item to paste, nothing happens. The box disappears though. However, when I do paste (control V), the text does get pasted onto the document; so, it is being copies to the clipboard. Any ideas as to why this is happening.
Using Vista Ultimate and Clipmate.
